All the equipment are FDA approved & supplied by International
manufacturers that have local reputable agents in the Middle East. In addition,
all of our analysers are bidirectionally interfaced.
REAGENTS
All reagents are FDA approved and are purchased from reputable international
companies such as Abbot, Roche, Bayer, Coulter, Stago... etc.
COMPUTER
The computer system installed is a client server based system which is working
under Microsoft NT and Windows 2000 operating systems. The data base is powered
by Auricle. Topographically, the system is composed of large LAN at
Mohandesseen main branch and smaller LANs at the other branches connected in a
WAN to the Mohandesseen server through ISDN & Frame Relay cloud network
topologies.
The LIMS is divided into three modules namely (Lab main operational module,
Financing module and the Interfacing module. The lab operational module is copy
righted and developed by Al Borg. and serves all the lab functions from the
reception reservation till patient report generation. The financial module
includes the 8 main segments of any financial package. Integrated with the
system is a closed interfacing application that insures full bi-directional
communication between the lab autonalysers and the (LIMS) starting by automatic
bar code labeled generation at the reception and sampling areas followed by
identification and uploading of patient tests from the main server and ending
by downloading the test results into the patient records after verification of
results on the main server.
LIMIS was complemented by a number of auxiliary systems. The first is a central quality control management system that serves both the quality assurance unit and the different lab units.
Second auxiliary system is an artificial intelligence module that automatically verifies patient\s results prior to manual final verification by lab doctors.
The third auxiliary system is a module that deals with publication of patient's results on the net to secure delivery of their results through the web. Patient's results are protected by a unique password that is delivered to the patient at time of sample withdrawal.
TESTS
The lab performs a wide range of conventional and unconventional tests that
cover all fields of laboratory medicine.In fact, Al Borg is currently the
regional market leader in Molecular & Genetic diagnosis.

In addition, internal regular audits on all branches and all units is done
monthly by our Quality Assurance department.Currently we are centralising our
Quality ssurancedata on our Laboratory Information & Management System
(LIMS).

CONTRACTS
Al Borg caters its services for the walk inn patient to any of our branches. Al
Borg as well conducts tests on behalf of other labs for conventional and none
conventional testing. Al Borg has contractual agreements to provide its lab
services to all major banks in Egypt as well as the Presidential offices as
well as local syndicates, embassies, media organization and telecommunication
companies, hospitals, airlines, oil companies…. we are trusted by Egypt
companies, syndicates and institutions to provide them with our services.
