The following tips are in no way a replacement for traditional medicine.  They are only a few tried an true recipes that have been collected over time to help ease some of our health problems .  The purpose is to know what items may help or hinder the cure of a particular ailment.

ARTHRITIS:  Fish have omega oils which are good for the immune system.  So, Salmon, tuna and sardines can actually help prevent arthritis.

ASTHMA:  Eating onions helps ease constriction of the bronchial tubes.  (In the early 1900’s people would make onion packs to place on their chests to help breath better.)

BLOOD PRESSURE, HIGH:  Olive oil has been shown to lower blood pressure.

BLOOD SUGAR IMBALANCE: The chromium in broccoli and peanuts helps regulate insulin and blood sugar.

BREAST CANCER:  To maintain estrogen at healthy levels, eat wheat, bran and cabbage.

CHOLESTEROL: Garlic lowers cholesterol

COLDS:  Eating garlic can clear up stuffiness in the head

COUGHING:  Use red pepper, with caution, because it contains a substance similar to that found in cough syrups.

DIARRHEA:  Grate an apple with its skin, let it turn brown and eat it.  Also, bananas are good for treating diarrheas.

HAY FEVER:  Eat lots of yogurt before the pollen season.  Also eat honey (preferably from your region) on a daily basis

HEADACHES:  Eat plenty of fish.  Fish oils help prevent headaches.  So does ginger, which reduces inflammation  and pain.

INSOMNIA:  Use honey as a tranquilizer and a sedative

LUNG CANCER:  A good antidote is beta carotene, a form of Vitamin A, found in dark green and orange vegetables.

MEMORY PROBLEMS:  oysters help improve mental functioning by supplying much needed zinc.

PREMENSTRUAL SYNDROME:  Eat cornflakes which help reduce depression, anxiety and fatigue

PROSTATE PROBLEMS:  Tomatoes are a very good preventive measure for men.

STROKE:  Prevent buildup of fatty deposits on artery walls with regular doses of green tea which is also great for the immune system.

ULCERS:  cabbage contains chemicals that help heal both gastric and duodenal ulcers

OBESITY: The idea is not just to get rid of excess fat, but to chose foods that contribute to wellness and enhance energy because the body’s intolerance or sensitivity to certain foods can contribute to certain conditions such as obesity, migraine, eczema, nausea, diarrhea, constipation etc.

A new technology has been developed to identify which foods to eat or not to eat called the  YORK Test  which  brings relief to these symptoms.

So, before devouring large quantities of the above fruits (or foods) , you must keep in mind that people respond differently to food (tolerance).

The test is performed on a small blood sample and covers 113 food items, some of which may be the cause of your problem, and results are reported as follows:

Red :  For foods to be eliminated entirely from your diet

Green:  For foods to be consumed regularly

Yellow:  Foods to be consumed with caution i.e. at long intervals.
