     Associate Professor of Pathology, National Cancer Institute, 2002-Now.


QUALIFICATIONS
  1. High School Diploma: June 1978.
  2. M.B.B.Ch.: From Faculty of Medicine (Kasr-El-Eini), Cairo University. December 1984. Grade: Very Good with Honors.
  3. M.Sc. in Pathology: From Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, October 1991. Grade: Very Good
  4. Doctorate Degree in Oncologic Pathology: NCI, Cairo University, May 1996.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

In The IT Field
  1. Design and development of the pathology data base pplication and coding system at the Pathology Department, NCI, Cairo Universty, 1988.
  2. Erection of the pathology local area network, 1989.
  3. Member to the committee for the develpoment of the NCI patient information network (256 work stations) funded by the UNDP, 1990-1995.
  4. Development of a pathology data base application for use in pathology private labs, 1991
  5. 5. External consultant for evaluating the hospital information and management system (a custom made pachage running on IBM S400 system) at Al Salam International Hospital Maadi, 1996.
  6. Moderator for the first software and hardware upgrade plan At Al Borg Company, 1997 (Main contractor NCR, Egypt, Value approximately 750, 000 L.E.).
  7. Supervising the lab operatoinal module (owned and copywirted by Al Borg Laboratory Company) contineous development project. The project included the re-desing and re-wrighting of this application using Oracle developer 2000 and Sybase Power Builder to have three versions of this module including the original Informix 4GL-Unix based version, 1997-1998.
  8. Establishing and heading the Information Technology Unit, Al Borg Laboratory, Egypt, 1998 till now.
  9. Supervision the desing and erection of Al Borg Laboratory WAN (with voice and vedio capabilities) connecting 30 branches in Greater Cairo, Delta and Upper Egypt utilizing leased lines, ISDN lines and frame relay technology, 1999-2002.
  10. Contracting and supervising the desing and implementation of the closed circuity intelegent interfacing package that interfaces 20 autoanalyzers from seven vendors with lab operational module, 2000-completed 2001.
  11. Contracting and supervising the intelegent pateint results verification, central quality assurance, and patient results availability through the internet projects, starting 2002 and expected to be completed 2003.
  12. Contracting and supervising the patient's results full autovalidation module which integrates results verification, central quality assurance, delta checks, auto-commenting and automatic printing of of results, strating March 2007 and expected to be completed by the end of same year.
